Real Talk: Women live longer and traditionally make less than men.
The one-two punch of these circumstances means that women across the country are working hard
to make ends meet, yet one in seven women live in poverty and unsafe homes.
Join Rebuilding Together OKC’s first ever all-women community impact event! On Saturday, September 16th from 8-4pm hundreds of women will mobilize to revitalize two homes owned by senior women in Midwest City. We’re not new to this, we’re true to this. In 2016, 73% of the homes repaired by Rebuilding Together OKC were owned by women, 90% of which were women of color. Through the rehabilitation of homes rather than providing new structures, we maintain the culture and integrity of neighborhoods.
No skills? No problem. Workshops will be provided leading up to the big day providing opportunities to learn valuable home repairs skills that can be implemented at home and shared with neighbors.

It’s easy as 1-2-3
1) First things first (I’m the realest), sign a waiver here.
2) Next, RSVP for our work-work-work-work-workshop here.
3) Love (and your participation) don’t cost a thing, but repairs do! We’re challenging each participant to help raise awareness and $250 through Crowdrise. The volunteer with the most money raised will win a gift from one of our generous sponsors (stay tuned).
