You can make a difference
We are always looking for volunteers, both individuals and teams, to help us keep the low-income seniors of Oklahoma City living independently in their homes.

If you want to volunteer for one of our events (Construction Derby or the Annual Golf Tournament) please call the office at 607.0464.

Volunteer as an Individual
If you are an individual with special skills (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) that you would like to put to use for the sake of others, WE NEED YOU!

Our individual volunteers, who work throughout the year, do work that can't wait until April. The most common changes made by year-round volunteers are also some of the most essential repairs we do for the elderly. They include: grab bars in the bathrooms, handheld shower heads, raised toilet seats and shower seats, handrails on porches or stairways, and wheelchair ramps.

Application for Individuals
Our online application makes it easy to volunteer.

Volunteer as a Team

A great team-building experience for any group! We have teams from churches, corporations, banks, military, hospitals, etc. that dedicate their free time every year on our annual Work Day project in May.

Repairs made, depending on the needs of the homeowner, include: general clean-up, interior and exterior painting, roof repair, minor plumbing and electrical, carpet laying, carpentry, installation of grabs bars in bathrooms and handrails on porches or stairways, installation of new doors, new locks and sometimes new windows, flooring repair or replacement, installation of a wheelchair ramp.the list goes on and on. Most importantly, the teams help to make repairs on the home that the elderly homeowner is no longer able to do, both physically and financially, on his/her own, and as a result most often times help to rebuild the homeowner's life as well.

The Volunteer Handbook
The handbook is a guide to the team leaders of teams who are participating in Work Day. It is most useful for the Team Captains, Skilled Captains, and Area Directors.
