Rebuilding Together Oklahoma City's (RT OKC) Youth Board creates opportunities for youth to proactively engage in rebuilding their communities. Board members fundraise, contact sponsors, and recruit peers to participate in a Youth Build on Rebuilding Day.
Working with peers from around the Oklahoma City area, board members have the opportunity to develop skills and leadership potential in a setting outside the classroom. Youth Board members take initiative in their own communities and further their understanding of people of different generations and backgrounds.
Youth Board Membership: Members of the Youth Board must apply. The staff of RT OKC will review the applications, and up to 3 students per school are selected to serve on the board. High school students in all of Oklahoma City Public School District, Putnam City School District, Edmond School District, and any private schools in the area are encouraged to apply.
The Youth Board accepts applications starting in late August and are due, at the latest, the end of November. The council operates from October through May.
Member Responsibilities: Click here for downloadable Member Expectations document (68k Word doc).
